- Command Name : Assign
-
- Function : Assign a device name to a directory
-
- Arguments : [<name>:{dir}]
-
- Location : C directory
-
- Please read the section on devices for more information. Assign lets you
- give drawers names as though they were volumes (disks). Assign is useful
- if you run out of disk space for Workbench. You could move your entire C:
- directory to a disk called Commands: then delete the original. Once done,
- you could use the command "Assign C: Commands:C/" now whenever Workbench
- needs to acess the C directory it will ask for the Commands: disk. All
- device names must be one or more letters long and end with a colon.
-
- Examples
-
- Assign FONTS: DpaintFonts:Fonts/
-
- Tells the system to look for fonts on the Dpaintfonts: disk instead
- of Workbench.
-

-
